The other day I ran across what is probably the best video guide to learn how to use Lightbox Plus ColorBox and easily add fancy light box photo effects to your WordPress site. I wish I could say that I created it, but frankly writing tutorials, guides and documentation is not my forte.
The author of this excellent guide is Philip Gledhill and he does an brilliant job covering all aspects of Lightbox Plus ColorBox. The tutorial is available on Philip’s site as Lightbox Plus WordPress Plugin video guide. If you are trying to get a better understanding of how to use Lightbox Plus ColorBox I can’t recommend his guide enough!
Hi Dan, I am a big fan of this plugin, but I notice that for some reason, it is not doing what it used to. I have v. 2.7.2 installed, the box for “use for wordpress galleries” is ticked and I have set the opacity at 45%. However, when I click on an image, it opens on another page and I have to use the back button to return to the site.
And yes, it is set to link to media file, not attachment page. Am I missing something?
No I think there’s a bug in 2.7.2. I’m updating the plugin right now and it will be foxed in the next version.
