Installing Lightbox Plus takes only moments.
- Extract lightbox-plus.zip to your wp-content/plugins directory.
- In the admin panel under Plugins activate Lightbox Plus.
- In the admin panel under Design/Appearance click on Lightbox Plus to configure to your taste.
- It should now be completely set up and functional – Lightbox Plus should automatically lightbox you images.
If Lightbox Plus doesn’t seem to work, please check the following items settings in the base options:
- Transition Type
- Resize Speed
- Maximum Width
- Maximum Height
- Overlay Opacity
If it still doesn’t seem to work please read the Lightbox Plus FAQ. The first item is in the FAQ is the most common cause for Lightbox Plus to not not display a lightbox for your images.
Flash (i.e. YouTube videos, etc.) will sit atop the Lightbox Plus display not matter what the z-index is. This is an issue with Flash.

To work around this issue you will need to add something like the following to your
<param /> and
<object><param name="wmode" value="opaque" /><embed wmode="opaque" all="" other="" embed="" settings="" file="" span="" class="hiddenSpellError" pre="file " />src etc.</object>
